1983 B.S. in K-12 Physical Education from Eastern Illinois University
I began working with young children from 1979-1983 during the summers of my college years. After graduation I have had positions at other centers as teacher, assistant director and as a director. In 1988 I had the opportunity to return to teaching at the Illinois State University Child Care.
Why I Work With Young Children:
I choose to share my days with children because I find the way they think interesting. Their take on life is fresh and truthful.
The curiosity young children have inspires me to investigate with them. Most adults have lost the ability to truly question why, but children do it naturally. They continue to make me grow even after I felt I have delved into an area in great depth and detail.
